General Liability Coverage

With CAIS, you will discover several General Liability coverages that you may not think of… until you need them.

General Liability is the most basic business insurance created to protect your company from legal issues, which may arise during everyday activities. General Liability Insurance for Associations protects board members or active parties in the Association who may be acting with the best intentions, but may face a lawsuit for even a minor mishap. Therefore, this insurance is essential for Associations and Commercial Property owners alike.

Under a General Liability insurance policy, coverage includes bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and advertising injury (damage from slander or false advertising). Also covered are compensatory and general damages.

As with all General Liability insurance policies, a maximum per occurance and per policy term amount is stated. The CAIS exclusive General Liability form has a $1,000,000 per occurrence cap and a $2,000,000 per policy term cap.

To cover excess liability or amounts over and above these caps, CAIS offers a comprehensive Umbrella or Excess liability insurance. This picks up where General Liability coverage ends — not only covering payment amounts, but providing additional coverage for areas of responsibility not already included. Additional coverages include, but are not limited to, Garagekeepers Legal, Liquor Liability, Watercraft Liability and Hired & Non-Owned Auto Liability. Each of these coverages provide an additional $150,000,000 under the Umbrella/Excess Liability Policy.

The CAIS General Liability Package (General Liability form plus Umbrella) extends coverage to an unheard of $151,000,000. It is the broadest available and even goes so far as to include acts of terrorism, both certified and non-certified, at no additional cost to you.
